My Poppa's Birthday!!!

Talofa everyone,
I hope you guys have had an awesome day. Yesterday was my poppa's birthday! He turned 70 years old and we celebrated it by using this app named 'zoom'. You could video chat others on 'zoom' so it is very helpful during the weeks of lock-down. Me, Josie, Travis and my Mum made up a dance for him to present on his birthday. We planned to wear these samoan outfits for the day. It was black with gold patterns on it. The dance we danced to was a samoan dance talking about the ocean and the sea. My 2 uncles were on 'zoom' also, they prepared a cake for him. They are a part of poppa's bubble. My 2 cousins and my aunty were on 'zoom' too.

Everyone wore the same outfits, the boys wore shirts and pants. 3 of the girls wore samoan dresses and the other 3 wore pule tasi'. On 'zoom' we each said a little speech and we sung 'Happy Birthday' to him, we also prayed for him. It was a really great time and I had a lot of fun.

Have an awesome time at home, make sure to be kind and stay safe.
Tofa!!!

Our New Trampoline

Hey bloggers, today I'm going to be blogging about my new trampoline. We got it on the day before lock-down. It is black and blue with silver bars that hold up a net surrounding the trampoline. It is 15 feet wide and is about 3 metres high. It is really heavy too. It took us about half a day to get it done. To my family and I, it was very challenging. A lot of hard work went into it that day. Now that it is completed, me and my siblings play on it everyday. There are a two games we play. Not much years ago, I got a big, pink gym ball for my birthday. It is still in good condition, so we play games and do activities with the gym ball.

We play:
  • Ball tiggie, where one person is the tagger and tries to tag others by kicking the ball.
  • Catch me if you can!, simaliar to Ball Tiggie but, someone stands at the side, the other person stands on the oppisite side of the person. One person has the ball, the other says 'Catch me if you can', then they try to dodge the ball after the other person kicks it.
  • Add-on, a game for any amount of people. One by one, each person goes in the trampoline and does a move. eg. jump or sit down. After the person does their move, the next person does the same move but then adds another move to it. If someone doesn't remember or does the wrong move, they're out.

(My mum taught me this because when she was younger, she played this game.)

Cameron Pools

Kia ora bloggers,
Today I am going to share what I've been doing over the past weeks. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, we have been taking lessons at Cameron Pools. The whole Senior Synidicate have been taking the bus there. We go in three groups. 'Group 1' goes first, 'Group 2' goes second, and 'Group 3' goes last. I'm part of 'Group 2'. At Cameron Pools, we have 5 swimming teachers there. Three in the Nans Pool, and 2 in the Big Pool. Once we get into our togs, we get put into different groups in the water. I'm in lane 2 with a swimming teacher named Amy. We learn and go over many swimming styles. We do breathstroke, freestyle, backstroke, and swimming on the side.

One of the lessons we did was with life jackets. We made long lines that formed a snake, and we did that by holding the persons life jacket whil the person behind you holds yours. Then we started swimming around. Another thing we did was hop onto an inflatable boat and fall off backwards. Once you fell into the water you would either flip underwater or just float. The last activity we did was go under the inflatabe boat when it was flipped over.

Thank you guys for looking at my blogpost. Make sure to look at the photos below. Bye!

Rotation-Confetti making

Kia ora bloggers, this blog post is going to be about the rotation the Senior Syndicate have been doing. There are three groups: Gardening, Enviromental Group and Confetti making. This rotation is going to be happening every Friday. I'm in the Confetti making group. As you know, our planet is being polluted, including the waters. We want to help save it, so we are going to sell enviromently-friendly confetti, that is rapped up with some material, and tied onto a stick. The connfetti that we are making is made out of leaves and some flower petals. We do not want to use glitter because, when it goes into our waters, it atracts fish and then they eat it. It also doesn't desolve.

In our group, we get a buddy to work with. We have a container full of different shaped hole punchers. We got some leaves and hole-punched them. There were so many different shapes, such as: Butterflies, feet, men, women, bows, stars, squires and so much more. We added crunched up leaves and even rosemary. The blue material was cut out with zig-zag scissors. It looked really nice when the confetti was tied up and finished. Overall, it was a whole lot of fun and I'd love to do it again the other weeks.

Thank you for checking out my blogpost. Comment if you have done smething like this. (P.S Don't forget to look at the photos below)
Bye!!!
