Pillow Day

G'day bloggers. I'm going to be be blogging about Pillow day.
The whole of the senior block brought a pillow or cushion from home. We brought the pillows for two events. The first one was writing pillow designs. In our art book we decided the pillow shape than we chose the colours for it. On the pillow we had to right a mental health quote. The quote could be any language but it had to have the translation underneath. One of my quotes was 'Wake up with a smile on your face.'
The other event was reading to some juniors. We used up one of the courts and the whole front deck. We did it right after the Duffy assembly, that's where we got our books to read from. We used our pillows to lie on. During the Duffy assembly, we got a choice if we were going to sit on our pillows or leave it in class.
I enjoyed this a lot because it was something different and we'd never done it before.
That is all for this blog post, I hope you enjoyed it and I'll see you in the next posts. But first take a look at these photos:

Cross Country

Hello bloggers! On the llth of September, Wednesday we had a really cool event. We had Cross Country. Everyone in the school participated in it. There were 4 courses. They were: Skipping, soccer goals, obstacle course and running. There was also a little stall where you go and get an ice block and cake. The first one I did was the soccer goals. You had to make at least 25 goals. I got 18 goals. The second item I did was the skipping. We had to skip for 15 mins. While I skipped I watched the others run. It looked so tiring. After that I went to the obstacle course at the playground. It went across the playground and part of the field. When it came to the running I was so nervous. Before we did the running we cheered on the others that were on it first. We also did some stretching. When they were finished it was our turn. We had to do 2 laps.

It goes along the field then across the hill which was so tiring. Then into the bush. Around the pool, up the hill then through the trees. It doesn't sound that long but it was so exhausting. After all of that, we had lunch. At lunch time there was a bake sale on. There was also the sausage sizzle. Nearly the whole school was muddy. Overall it was a fun day and I enjoyed it lots. Camp Trip

Talofa bloggers! Right now you are going to read about an amazing trip. It was our Senior, School camp. During it we went to a lot of incredible places.

First of all, I have to start off with all the struggle finding gear. We went to many different places, getting all the bits and pieces for camp. Somehow I stuck with the colour purple. There was a lot of things to get, I couldn't believe I got so much things for only 3-4 days. I was feeling so excited, but nervous. I really missed my family when I went. The bus ride was fun and took really long. For me it did.

It was so exciting getting on the bus rides because I didn't know where our school was going. It was quite calming and tiring when we were packing. We did a lot of things before coming to the Lodge. Tuesday was a big day, meaning the other days ,might be as tiring as that one. It was real fun getting to have a night with school friends. The different places we went to was INCREDIBLE. One of my favourite places was the Hamilton Gardens. It was so beautiful. Another was Huka Falls. The water was a lovely blue but it flowing wildly. There were many other places such as: Mt Ruapehu, AC Baths, The Crossing Backpackers/Lodge and the Edmund Hillary walkway. Anyways, the lodge was big, and had a lot of hallways. When you first come in there would be a hallway to your left, then after a couple of more step there be a hallway to your right. If you are wondering, your walking in a hallway. The one on the left was the one where most of the teachers and parents slept. The one on your right is where all the girls slept. A few rooms after you'd find the hallway with all the boys cabins. My room number was No. 29.

The best place out of all was Mt Ruapehu. There was snow everywhere you looked. The boots were really heavy and it was hard to walk around in them. Inside the cafes it was warm but it felt to warm because I was in so much layers on. During our time at the slopes, we went sledding. After we went all the way down there was like a escalator that leads back up. They call it the Magic Carpet. It was really fun on the slopes and I enjoyed it lots.

Check out 2 of the slideshows that I did.
I hope you enjoyed reading and got all the information about camp.
See you later bloggers.
