Athletics Day!!!

Athletics Day

On Tuesday the 19th of November we had our Athletics Day. It was full of activities. We all got put into our gender and age groups. I was in the 9 year old girls. The sports we did were: high jump, long jump, sprints, shot put, tennis, and a 400m run. The activities we did were: fun relays, team building, fun throwing, and hurdles. They were all really fun. The 9 year old girls started off at tennis. We had to get into pears and play against each other. Then we went to Team building with Ms Daly. It was cool. The activity we did there was to try get across the polluted water without falling in or stepping on the litter. After that, we had to do the exhausting sprints. It was so tiring but luckily it was Morning tea after that. There were so many fun things we did but it's too many to write about. My highlight of the day was the House relays. We had to get into our house groups and choose the fastest runners from each block, Juniors, Middle school and the Seniors. The house groups were all competing against each other.
Pukeko came 1st, Kea and Ruru came 2nd and Tui came 3rd

Thank you for reading my blog post and I hope you enjoyed it. Plus, don't forget to look at the photos down below.✋

Athletic Zones

Morning bloggers! This week was real busy. On Tuesday we went to Athletics zones. There was a lot of people there from different schools. There was us, Waikowhai, Christ the King, Hillsborough, Mt Roskill, Marshall Laing, St Therese, Harsey, and Three kings. There were all kinds of activities like: High Jump, Long jump, and sprints. For sprints I did the 50m run and the 200m run. There wasother ones like 800m and 75m. I also got to do Long jump. My favourite part of Athletic zones was the relays. For all off the relays I think we came 4th. It was exhausting and hot but luckily one of the mums got us some popsicles. It was fun. My favourite thing I got to rest quietly at home. Thanks guys for reading my blog post and I'll write more. Bye✋

Fun Creating Tumble

Hi everyone! This week has been a total blast. Every morning we had this tumble to do. There were nine activities. They were: Origami frogs, play dough insect, cutting patterns, plasticine characters, paper planes, lego scene, pavement art, marshmallow math and making butter. My favourite one out of all of them was the pavement art. All you had to do there was draw something on the courts with pastels. I used five colours. The colours were: yellow, blue, purple, pink and brown. All of those colours were put into to my art, a hot-air balloon. I wrote my name under it so I'd know it's mine. There were many other drawings to like: tropical trees, the earth, Tongan and Samoan flags and many more other things. It was so fun the activities. If I could, I would do it again. Thanks for looking at my blog and don't forget to look at the pictures down bellow. Bye!

Kids bot

Kia ora bloggers, this blog post is going to be all about this cool activity we had to do. It's called 'Kids Bot'. The aim of the game is to try make it to the finish line without falling into any obstacles. So, this is how you play: for an example, there is a dog trying to find its bone. But there are obstacles you can't go in. One of the obstacles might be a deep hole that the dog could fall in. Another obstacle might be other dogs that aren't friendly. You have to pass those obstacles and try find the bone. If you do find the bone, you completed the challenge.

My Kids Bot was about a school bus trying to get to school. The school bus has to pick up the children first then go to school. My obstacles were caution signs because the builders were doing road works, a big storm,  some cactus's that could scratch the bus and then a forest full of snakes. I hope you got out all the information you needed. Bye Bye✋
