Fakalofa lahi atu bloggers. In term 3, the senior block went down to Waikowhai Bay to do a beach clean. We bought signs on the walk too. Once we got the beach we got into a group then, we got a part to clean up at the beach. We found all sorts of things like: glass, cans, cigars, bottle caps, fish bait. We even found little crabs under the rocks. We put all the rubbish in a big plastic bag. We all wore gloves so our hands won't get dirty and stink. The other thing we wore were orange beanies. They were so bright and stood out a lot.
We did this beach clean as part of trying to stop climate change. We also did it because we couldn't come to the climate change march. In my group, there were 7 people in it, including me. We had some parents there to help out with the beach clean. We put all our signs in the car when we came to the beach because we couldn't hold them while picking up rubbish. After that we had to walk back to school. Even on our way back we found cans and bottles. The thing that I didn't like about it was that some of them still had stuff in it so we tipped it out. Check out the photos below. Bye!

ReplyDeleteHi Rael, Noah here sounds like you had a lot of fun. Sadly I couldn't come because I went on holiday early. How much rubbish did you guys manage to collect. One thing you could do to make this a little better would be if you explained how you got down to the beach and what you where doing when you where walking down to the beach. Anyway this was a great blog post and I am a little jelous I couldn't go. Blog u later!!
